Oats are a whole grain that is commonly eaten for breakfast as oatmeal. It is choice of yours whether to boil oats in water or a milk. Oats are high in the soluble fiber known as beta-glucan which helps to reduce cholesterol and blood sugar level. If the person wants to loose weight, they should eat oats regularly as a breakfast. Oats may also prevent asthma problem in children. Oats are also a rich source of manganese which is a key to enzyme function and energy production and helps to prevent heart attacks and strokes by relaxing blood vessels, aiding the heart muscle and regulating blood pressure. Oats have been used as a soothing agent to relieve itch and irritation while also providing benefits for the skin.
